PricewaterhouseCoopers has launched its new non-life actuarial consultancy practice. The new venture will offer support to non-life insurance and reinsurance customers to deal with issues facing the industry in the future.

Ronan Murphy, senior partner, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, said, ‘Our new service offering will help our domestic and international clients in the Non-Life Insurance and Reinsurance sector deal with the emerging issues and challenges in this growing market in Ireland’.

This new practice, which will be Ireland’s largest non-life actuarial consultancy, is headed up by PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Paul Duffy. Duffy, who has over 20 years experience as a non-life actuary, said, ‘Our approach will help our clients develop innovative strategies and solutions to deal with the challenges posed by Solvency II, especially the Quantitative Impact Studies that are an essential part of the implementation process. In particular, we will assist our clients to optimise the operational effectiveness of their actuarial and risk management functions.
