IBI Corporate Finance recently announced the establishment of a new dedicated specialist unit, IBI - Private Company Unit, to cater for corporate finance services required by private companies. The new unit will provide a focused resource in private company transactions providing independent advice in respect of disposals, mergers and acquisitions, financial and strategic advice, management buy-outs and buy-ins, capital restructuring, equity raising and debt finance.
The Private Company Unit will also be responsible for advising technology and healthcare companies and work with IBI’s strategic partner Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, the leading US investment bank specialising in mid-capitalisation technology companies.
Announcing the new unit, Richard Keatinge, managing director of IBI Corporate Finance, said, ‘we established the Private Company Unit because of the increasing number of private company transactions undertaken by the corporate finance team at IBI. A medium sized, owner managed firm wishing to expand, raise capital, or realise some of the value in its business, has different needs and objectives than a listed company. The dedicated team has already advised many such businesses and our aim is to deliver the value to additional private companies through the sharper focus of
a specialist unit.’ |
