Fund managers across Europe now have formal representation as a result of the recently established European Asset Management Association. The Irish Association of Investment Managers was one of the founding members. The EAMA has been formed to represent the interests of the asset management industry at a time when decisions affecting the industry are increasingly being made at a European level.
The new association starts with four trade association members - the national associations from the UK, France, Ireland and Italy, together representing firms with assets under management totaling around e5,000 billion and twenty eight corporate members including AIB Investment Managers.
Donald Brydon, chairman & chief executive of AXA Investment Managers, has been elected as President of the new Association. |
