Current responsibilities: Management of the Treasury team at First Active which is responsible for liquidity, funding and interest rate risk.

Education: Third level: UCG B Comm 1984; Second level: Summerhill College Sligo.
Career progress: I joined the Department of Finance after college working in the Domestic Monetary Policy area. In 1987 joined Ulster Investment Bank in the Fixed Interest area and later became Head of Fixed Interest and a Director of Ulster Bank Investment Managers. In 1994 joined Goodbody Stockbrokers to work in bond sales and moved to AIB Treasury when the market making function within AIB Group was centered there. Developed a broad range of primarily international clients who had significant interest in the Irish Bond market in the run in to EMU. In 2000 joined Friends First Asset Management as Senior Investment Director-Fixed Interest and was a member of the Investment Strategy Committee.
