| A CDO Manager Focus report published by Standard & Poor’s for AIB Capital Markets is the first of its kind in Europe. Issued in conjunction with the rating of Clare Island B.V., AIB’s second collateralised debt obligation (CDO) issue, the report aims to provide investors with full transparency on collateral managers with respect to their experience, investment philosophy, track records and performance on their existing CDOs. AIB established its acquisition finance unit AIB Acquisition Finance in 1990, and this division set up its CDO management team in 2000 to manage CDO and other fund businesses on behalf of third-party investors. Led by Robert Gallagher, at the end of June 2002, the CDO team managed assets of more than E900 million, and the majority of assets held are senior secured loans to European borrowers. |
