With the departure in recent years of a number of players the Irish domestic bond market has slimmed down leaving it to be dominated by Davy and Bloxhams. Bloxham provided a strong challenge to Davys this year, winning five categories, compared with six for Davys, as the tables show.
In individual rankings, Bloxhams also score, with three Bloxhams analysts scoring amongst the top five, Tom Reilly, who wins the category of ‘Best Bond Analyst’, along with Bloxham’s Ann Barrett, and John Power, the other two top five being Davy’s Pat Lyster and Finbarr Quinlan.
Also featuring this year, too are Dolmen Butler Briscoe, and ABN AMRO. Reflecting Bloxham’s strong showing in bonds, the firm’s economist Alan McQuaid gets the award for ‘Best Research Economist - Bond Markets’, taking the No 1 slot from Davy’s Donal O’Mahony, who won it last year. |
