John Mattimoe has emerged as analyst of the year for 2007, having secured top rating in four analyst categories. |
John Mattimoe of Merrion has claimed top spot in the ‘Analyst of the Year’ award for 2007. Mattimoe finished just ahead of the 2005 winner, Robert Brisbourne, who completed a one-two for Merrion, has to console himself with second spot, a position he retains after last year’s survey. Mattimoe can add the ‘Analyst of the Year’ gong to his four other wins in the 2007 survey. Mattimoe also won the prize for best analyst in the ‘Airlines’, the returning ‘Paper and Packaging’, ‘Small & Mid-Cap Stocks’, and ‘Construction & Building Materials’.
Brisbourne, who won in 2005, has also given a strong performance in this year’s overall survey, winning the ‘Research Report of the Year’ for his report on the drinks manufacturer C&C as well as claiming top spot in the ‘Best Food & Beverages/Agribusiness Analyst’.
Third place was occupied by last year’s winner, John Sheehan, who was followed closely in fourth place by Robert Eason of Goodbody. Eason’s Goodbody colleague, Eamonn Hughes, followed in fifth position, repeating his performance from least year.
Joe Gill of Goodbody, who was a new entrant in fourth position in last year’s poll, has dropped back slightly to eighth place in this year’s survey. Robbie Kelleher of Davy, who finished in third place in the 2006 survey, dropped back to 10th position this year. |
