Watson Wyatt has acquired German pensions consultancy Heissmann as part of a global deal, which includes Heissmann's Irish operation, Buck Heissmann. Heissmann also has subsidiaries in the Netherlands, France and Austria, and the firm proved attractive to Watson Wyatt because of its considerable presence in the German market.
The acquisition will grow Watson Wyatt's Irish workforce by around 10, bringing it closer to the 100 mark. As of the end of 2006, the firm employed 76 people in Ireland.
Buck Heissmann's Irish office was established in 1973. |
