Career progress: Joined Oliver Freeney & Co as a trainee chartered accountant in 1972.
In 1979 joined Curran Delaney & Co which subsequently became Curran Sullivan & Co which then became O'Sullivan Keogh in 1985 (now known as OSK).
Special projects (Achievements): Founding partner of OSK. The practice has since grown from a two-partner/ five staff practice to six partners and 60 staff today. Was appointed managing partner in 2004. OSK is now one of Ireland's top 20 accountancy firms. I was also part of a team responsible for implementing ISO in OSK - OSK was the first accountancy practice in Ireland to achieve ISO accreditation. Also succeeded in joining CPA, an international network of accounting firms located throughout the world. This offers our clients a pool of international business and taxation experts.
Personal: Date of birth: 4.12.1950; Place of birth: Kilworth, Co. Cork.
Family: Married to Marian with 2 daughters (Aisling & Aimee - students) and 2 sons (Alan a professional golfer) and (Niall a trainee accountant).
Social & sporting memberships: Active member and past captain of Royal Dublin Golf Club, Member of Clontarf Rugby and GAA clubs, Member of Raheny GAA club.
Interests: Family, golf, horse racing and travel for golf.
