| Citigroup launches new education programme for its staff |

Citigroup Dublin and the Institute of Bankers in Ireland have joined forces to launch the Citigroup Certificate in Applied Financial Services.
The Certificate is a one-year, third level academic programme, specifically designed to provide Citigroup employees with an overview of the financial services environment in module one and a solid foundation in the application of the products available in the marketplace today in module two. Each of the course modules comprises 125 hours of blended-learning. The self-paced content is both paper and e-learning based, with the instructor-led programme seminars taking place on site in the Institute of Bankers Education Centre, which is located in the Citigroup offices in Dublin's docklands. The faculty for the seminars is drawn from both the Institute Of Bankers and industry experts from within Citigroup.
Citigroup is funding the course for all Citigroup employees undertaking the inaugural year of this programme. The course is fully accredited by the Institute of Bankers in Ireland and, through University College Dublin (UCD) is part of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). The Citigroup Certificate in Financial Applications is the first bespoke programme of its kind for any company in the financial services industry in Ireland that will provide exemptions for future study undertaken by employees.
All new employees hired by Citigroup Dublin will be given the opportunity to undertake the fully accredited Citigroup Certificate in Applied Financial Services. |
