Austin Jennings is to replace Mick Sweeney as chief executive of Bank of Ireland Global Markets. Sweeney was recently appointed deputy chief executive of the bank’s Asset Management Division(AMS), and chief executive of Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM).
Jennings joined the Bank of Ireland Group in 1988, and has held various management roles in global markets including head of customer business, head of finance and risk, and head of global customer business. His most recent role was in retail financial services as regional manager for Dublin south.
A chartered management accountant, he has also held roles in Stokes Kennedy Crowley, Industrial Credit Corporation and Citicorp Investment Bank prior to joining the Group. |
