Kevin Dolan, who was appointed chief executive of BIAM in November 2004, is to become chief executive of the AMS division. This follows the expansion of the AMS Division with the recent acquisition of Guggenheim Alternative Asset Management, bringing to four the number of businesses in the division which also includes BIAM, Iridian, the North American based asset management company, and Bank of Ireland Securities Services (BOISS).

Sweeney joined the Bank of Ireland Group in 1979, and he has over sixteen years treasury and markets experience in the global foreign exchange, bond and derivative markets. Since 2003, he has held the position of chief executive of Global Markets, where he was responsible for leading and driving strong growth both domestically and internationally. Prior to this he was head of the trading and investment group in Global Markets.
