Jobs in hedge funds abound Back
As Dublin’s reputation as the leading European centre for hedge fund servicing continues to grow, so too do the number of positions available in this sector, with expansion plans by PFPC and IFS leading to significant demand for appropriate candidates.
Hedge funds: The recent announcement that PFPC will consolidate its US and international alternative investment groups in Dublin under a single management structure headed by Joan Kehoe, will see an additional 300 jobs created in Ireland, and will bring PFPC’s total Irish work force up to 770. It is expected that most of these jobs will be in accounting/ administration/custody roles. This follows on from a similar expansion at Dublin’s largest hedge fund administrator, IFS, which opened a Kildare office employing an additional 150 staff. Japanese firm Daiwa Securities, is also looking to recruit experienced hedge fund professionals in valuations and shareholder services for its Dublin operation.
