Ciaran McNamara, a former director with Investec Ireland, and Enda Woods, a member of Investec’s private banking team, have set up a new company, Signature Capital, specialising in the sourcing, structuring and financing of asset backed investments. |
The company will have a particular focus on property and as part of the transaction Signature Capital acquired Sherry Fitzgerald Capital, the property investment management arm, which has a number of UK property funds under management, of the Sherry Fitzgerald Group. Sherry Fitzgerald Group has become a strategic shareholder in Signature Capital.
McNamara believes that there is plenty of opportunity for the new venture. ‘Signature Capital is committed to co-investing with our private clients in a number of significant property-related opportunities in Ireland and the UK. In addition, we are also pursuing certain attractive investments in Europe and in the United States,’ he said.
Signature Capital is partnering with a number of property developers and investors on various projects. The company has already completed a prime retail investment in Scotland and is co-developing two projects in the London area.
