The Autumn recruiting drive kicks off with gusto Back  
There has been a notable increase in the number of financial positions available over the past two months, with companies recruiting across the entire spectrum of finance and financial services. Securitisation: One of the leading players in the Irish international securitisation market, AIB Capital Markets, is looking to recruit a senior origination manager for its structured securities unit, which invests in structured securities/ABS. AIB is one of the largest asset-backed securities (ABS) investors in Ireland, and this market continues to grow from strength to strength. Last year it was estimated that Irish investors held over euro 30 billion in ABS. As part of its Dublin based securitisation activitties, ING is establishing a team that will manage its European asset-backed commercial paper vehicles, and as such is looking to hire manager for this conduit securitisation team.

Finance: Kellogg’s, the cereals producer, is establishing a new European operations centre in Swords, Co. Dublin. This centre will support Kellogg manufacturing and distribution operations throughout Europe through centralised supply chain, finance and marketing groups. It is recruiting for a number of positions including a commodity manger. This role involves managing an annual raw materials budget of over euro 300 million, and planning, organising, directing and controlling all purchases of all commodities, as well as managing risk through hedging, trend forecasting and supplier performance.

Touax Rail Limited, the specialist in operational leasing is looking to hire a general manger for its Dublin based finance and administration operation, to develop, manage and grow and develop the business. The company is also looking for a financial accountant. Also:
• The Irish Heart Foundation is looking for a financial controller to take responsibility for the organisation’s finance function.
• The religious order, the Sisters of Mercy, is looking to recruit a financial controller, with responsibility for all financial matters relating to the South Central Province of the order.

Banking: As part of a significant expansion of Barclays Capital in Dublin, which provides treasury and risk management services, the bank is looking to recruit a business development executive to source prospective new client relationships.

AIB International Financial Services (AIBIFS) recently launched a product Financial Instrument Management Services (FIMS), aimed at providing best practice IAS 39 and risk management solutions for international corporates and financial institutions. Due to continued growth in this area, AIBIFS is hiring a manager for this division.

Tax: GE Capital, which recently established an Irish based treasury operation to support the global growth of GE Capital, and to provide external funding and hedging services, is hiring a senior tax manager, with a salary up to euro 120,000.

Asset management: One of the world’s leading reinsurance companies, Gen Re, is recruiting for its Dublin based asset management subsidiary GeneralCologne Re Capital GmbH, which specialises in managing third party institutional insurance company asset. The company is looking to hire a senior portfolio manager/corporate credit specialist, who will work within a team of specialist and will be responsible for security selection and ongoing surveillance within the corporate sector.

Reinsurance: RBC Reinsurance, the reinsurance arm of the Royal Bank of Canada, is recruiting directors for its life reinsurance division, and its credit reinsurance and financial reinsurance division.
