Growth in funds recruitment Back  
Several of Dublin’s leading fund servicing companies, including State Street, Fortis, International Fund Services (IFS) and Bank of Bermuda, are actively recruiting for positions in administration, fund accounting, client support, relationship management, investor servicing, financial reporting, alternatives, custody and transfer agency.
SState Street, which now employs over 500 people in Ireland, plus the numbers employed in its subsidiary IFS, is looking to hire a number of people for its Dublin and Kilkenny operations. The roles are in the custody, transfer agency and fund accounting areas.

Fortis Prime Fund Solutions, which employs over 200 people in Ireland in its Dublin and Galway operations, is looking to hire professionals with experience in fund valuations, accounting, trustee administration, client support, secretarial support and a relationship manager.

On the hedge fund side, Bank of Bermuda, which was recently acquired by HSBC, continues to expand its Dublin operations, and is recruiting for several positions in its alternatives division, as well as in fund administration, investor servicing and financial reporting.

Also, Man Corporate Services Limited (MCSL), one of the world’s largest hedge fund managers, is looking to hire an anti-money laundering specialist for its Dublin operations, as well as a manager for investor registration, and a team leader in open-ended funds.

Legal: On the legal side, there is also a strong demand for lawyers with investment funds experience. Mason Hayes & Curran, who recently established a funds practice, is looking to hire lawyers with 1-2 years experience in funds. Fortis is also looking to recruit an in-house funds lawyer with up to two years experience.

Banking: Ulster Bank Financial Markets is looking to expand its treasury division, with the hire of additional treasury sales professionals. It is also looking to recruit additional corporate banking professionals. Bank of Ireland Corporate is also looking to expand its operations, and is recruiting for professionals with experience in relationship banking, property, debt trading, acquisition finance, and investment grade portfolio management. ABN AMRO Bank is looking for treasury administration officers for its treasury outsourcing division, as well as for a trade finance supervisor for its trade finance services division.
