After ten years as chief financial officer of luxury goods company Waterford Wedgewood plc, Richard Barnes is to step down. |
He will be replaced by Paul D’Alton, who will assume the role on May 4th.. D’Alton was previously CFO of both Bank of Ireland and Aer Lingus, and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, a director of the Irish Takeover Panel, a non-executive director of Bank of Ireland Assurance and non-executive chairman of Aer Arran, the regional airline. He was involved in the recent management buy-out of Riverdeep in the role of independent director and chair of the Committee of Independent Directors. |
