Current Responsibilities: As Calyx was recently extracted from Alphyra Plc through a management buyout, my immediate priority is the smooth and swift integration of the group’s voice, data and computer training businesses. These activities, together with working capital management, business process re-engineering and implementation of our ambitious acquisition strategy make for busy and varied working days. As a member of the Calyx top management team I am involved in the strategic decision making for the group. I am also responsible for the development and day-to-day execution of corporate financial policies and procedures.
Education: MBA, Henley College, London 2000, Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants 1991.
Career Progress: Following qualification in practice with Cooney Carey, I joined Adare PLC as financial and operations controller for one of their domestic subsidiaries. From there joined the Allegro Group as financial controller. During the break up of the Allegro Group in 1999, I participated in two MBOs - Roma Foods and Allegro Professional. For three years I implemented financial and business development strategies until the disposal, debt free, of both businesses in 2002.
Interests: All sports, especially golf, reading and music
