Career progress: Joined Irish Life in 1980 having started his career in Allied Irish Banks PLC. A Certified Accountant he has held a variety of senior management positions in Ireland and the U.K. Appointed to the Board of Irish Life and Permanent PLC in 2000.
Special projects: He has overseen the rebuilding of Irish Life's retail business in Ireland - over the last five years Irish Life has more than doubled it's retail market share from under 10 per cent in 1998 to in excess of 20 per cent in 2003.
