Career progress: I started out with Guardian Royal Exchange in 1972. I worked with Guardian in the UK before joining Coyle Hamilton from where I was later seconded to AIB to set up its insurance services company. In 1990 I re-joined Guardian and in 1998 I undertook the strategic review which saw the companies' life business sold to Royal Liver for more than IR£100 million.
Awards: I was founder president of the Life Association of Ireland from 1993 to 1996. I was nominated and received the Life Insurance Association (UK) Outstanding Service Award for personal contribution to improving the standards of professionalism and competence of Life Salespeople - 1993.
