Current Responsibilities: On the 1st August 2001 I was appointed to the position of Managing Director of Fortis Fund Services (Ireland) Limited. I have overall responsibility for the strategic planning and achievement of operational and financial objectives of Fortis Fund Services in Ireland (Dublin and Galway).
Education: Third level: Graduateship in Marketing from the College of Marketing and Design and the Marketing Institute of Ireland in 1988. Diploma in Financial Services Law from UCD in 1999. Second level: Holy Faith Convent in Glasnevin, Dublin. (Leaving certificate course completed in 1982).
Professional memberships: Member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland.
Career: 1995 to date: Fortis Fund Services (Ireland) Limited. I was one of the original staff members to join the company in April 1995 having being appointed to the position of head of investment accounting and valuations.
On the 27th May 1998, I was appointed as Director of Operations of the company. I was responsible for investment accounting and valuations, shareholder services, internal control and training. I also deputised for the managing director in operational issues and assisted in managing the overall day to day aspects of the business.
1990 - 1995: International Fund Managers (Ireland) Limited: My position as an officer in the company involved leading a team of eight fund administrators, with responsibility for the production net asset value calculations.
1985 - 1990: Davy Stockbrokers: I started as a computer operator in the I.T. department and then went on to set up the valuations section for private and institutional clients of the company in the personal investment division.
