Career progress: I joined Ernst & Young straight from college and trained in the audit department. On qualifying in 1988, I transferred to the Corporate Finance Department and as Manager had responsibility for a range of assignments including acquisitions, privatisations, company valuations and investigations. In 1996, I joined the Property Finance Division of EBS Building Society as an underwriter concentrating on larger loans. In 1998 I took over responsibility for EBS Asset Managers, including the operation of Summit Funds.
