Current Responsibilities: To head up a unit to evaluate and report on the level of compliance of EU aided projects.

Other Qualifications: Chartered Public Finance Accountant (CPFA), 1996.
Professional Memberships: CIPFA. 1999 - Vice-Chairman of the Republic of Ireland Branch of CIPFA. 2000 - Irish representative on the CIPFA UK Regions Committee, London.
Career progress: Comptroller and Auditor General’s Office (’74 - ’98). Various roles in the audit of Government Departments and state-sponsored bodies culminating as Senior Auditor. ERDF & Cohesion Fund Financial Control Unit, Department of Finance (’98 to date).
Other Positions: Associate lecturer with the IPA, in financial accounting and auditing. Providing consultant advisory services to public sector representatives of the new EU accession countries.
