Education: Third level: B.A. (Hons), UCD, 1975; H. Dip. Ed., UCD, 1976; M.Sc. Mgmt., TCD, 1997. Second level: St Joseph’s CBS, Fairview, Dublin 3.
Professional memberships: National Management Forum; Institute of Business Analysts and Consultants (IBAC); Trinity Business Alumni.
Career progress: Various positions up to assistant secretary level at Revenue Commissioners developing tax policy and legislation. Left Revenue June, 1997 to take up partnership at Farrell Grant Sparks.
Special projects: Current year basis of assessment for tax purposes; Consolidation of direct taxes; National study of rural transport provision.
Personal: DoB: 31/12/53. Place: Dublin. Family: Wife Mairead, two daughters Ruth and Rachel.
Interests: History (especially biographies and the political administrative history of Ireland in the early 20th Century), English Literature, Swimming and Hurling.
