Davy and Goodbodys win again Back  
Davy and Goodbodys Stockbrokers were outright winners in the Irish category of the ‘2001 Reuters Survey of European Larger Companies’ carried out by Tempest Consultants.

Davy Stockbrokers were first with 32.96 per cent of the Irish fund manager rankings, while Goodbody’s were second with 31.28 per cent. Merrion Capital - newcomers to the market received a third place ranking with 9.78 per cent. NCB were listed as fourth with 7.82 per cent and Commerzbank Securities were ranked in fifth place with a 6.98 per cent vote.

The Finance stockbroking 2000 survey - published in November, saw ABN AMRO take 8 of the 11 first places across a range of categories. However the winners of the equity dealing service category were mirrored by the Tempest results: Davy first, Goodbody’s second; ABN AMRO in third; NCB in fourth.

The Finance Stockbroking survey is voted on by individual fund mangers - both domestically in Ireland amongst the IAIM, and internationally amongst significant investors.
