Issuance to feature strongly in 2nd conference Back  
Ireland as a location for securitisation issuance will be a key topic at the forthcoming second Finance Dublin International Securitisation Conference 2003 to be held in Dublin’s Four Seasons Hotel on November 3rd, 2003.
Peter van Dessel, managing director of WestLB Covered Bond Bank, will speak on WestLB’s inaugural Irish covered bond issue, which is due to be launched this month, and Jackie Gilroy of EBS Building Society, and Donal Corbett of First Active will talk on their respective residential mortgage backed securities (RMBS) issues Emerald and Celtic. Mary Fulton, financial services partner of Deloitte & Touche, willspeak on the implications for securitisation of the various current developments in international financial reporting standards.

The conference’s main theme is to examine innovative developments in international securitisation and other features of the one-day event include a traders’ panel discussing value in the European ABS market. Speakers on this panel include Adrian Carr of CSFB,and Gavin Barlow of AIB.

This panel, along with a markets and research panel will be of particular interest to fund managers, investment managers and pension fund managers alike as investment in ABS continues to deliver returns. For corporate treasurers, the conference will offer the opportunity to learn about innovative funding techniques
