Niamh Caffrey and Kevin Murphy have been appointed as partners in Arthur Cox. Niamh specialises in advising corporates on the tax issues relevant to doing business in Ireland and, in particular, in the context of mergers and acquisitions and outward/inward investment opportunities. She also has significant experience in advising finance services operations including banks, investment firms and mutual funds on tax issues and on structured finance transactions. Prior to joining Arthur Cox, Niamh was a director in a firm of chartered accountants. She is also a member of the European-American Tax Institute.
Kevin is in the Financial Services Practice Group and he specialises in advising promoters and service providers (including investment managers) on the establishment and operation of all types of investment funds in Ireland including UCITS and hedge funds. Previous to this appointment, Kevin was a partner in a large US corporate firm where he had a large corporate and securities practice. |
