Financial Services Jobs - the coming upturn
a Special Report in Finance Dublin and FINANCEjobs.ie
The IFSC has already proven itself, along with certain corporate sectors, as the platform for the recovery of Ireland's financial services industry, with funds, insurance, and asset financing sectors, such as aircraft leasing leading the way, while indicators from the recruitment industry are showing an upturn in activity for both candidates and employers. Activity too has turned up on the financejobs.ie website. The IFSC has remained a bright spot in employment in the Irish economy, holding its total jobs figures. Our annual employment survey conducted in the Finance Dublin Yearbook showed the number of IFSC jobs at the end of 2009 stood at 24,692, a fall since the end of 2008 of just 214 jobs. IFSC employers are predicting now that by the end of the year, we will have recorded our first employment increase in the IFSC in three years.
Our Report in September, The Finance Dublin/FINANCEjobs.ie Outlook Report for Ireland, will look at the coming upturn in financial services employment in Ireland and internationally.
