12th December: In the first issuance of subordinated debt by an Irish bank since the credit crisis began, Bank of Ireland has raised EUR 250 million of Lower Tier 2 Capital at 10 per cent with a maturity of 10 years. The transaction was three to four times oversubscribed. The issue follows BOI's recent return to the covered bond markets, and is further evidence of restoration of a working issuance market for Irish credits. |
